A Family Dream, Growing in Auckland
Welcome to Auckland’s Finest.
Our story began long before Auckland’s Finest became what it is today.
In 2006, Clara Bennett’s parents, Margaret and David, opened a small family shopfront in Auckland. Their dream was simple: to create a place where people could find clothing, footwear and everyday pieces that felt comfortable, familiar and truly worth wearing.
Margaret had a natural eye for the pieces people returned to again and again — a soft cardigan, a reliable jacket, comfortable shoes, or something that simply made you feel good without trying too hard.
David brought the practical side of the dream: patience, responsibility and the belief that family should always come first.
For a time, that little Auckland shopfront was their world. But as costs grew and the pressure became too much for a young family, Margaret and David made the difficult decision to step away.
Not because they stopped believing in the dream.
But because raising their family had to come first.
Years later, Clara grew up understanding what her parents had put aside for her. With her own savings, she decided to bring that family dream back to life and carry forward the values that had started it all.
That is how Auckland’s Finest began.
Today, we still believe that style should feel familiar, comfortable and worth returning to. We select pieces for real everyday life in New Zealand — easy layers, comfortable footwear, practical accessories and wardrobe favourites made for busy mornings, relaxed weekends and everything in between.
And now, that family dream is growing again.
Thanks to the support of customers across New Zealand, Auckland’s Finest has outgrown its current space. We’re preparing to move into a bigger space here in Auckland — giving us more room for what comes next while staying rooted in the city where our story began.
What started as a small family dream has become something bigger than we once imagined.
